The New Talent Award aims to cast the spotlight on the authors of tomorrow and is open to all writers attending the festival who have not yet had a novel published. The award judges were Donna Condon, senior commissioning editor at Piatkus (Little, Brown) and Jane Judd, literary agent at Jane Judd Literary Agency.
The award winner was Henriette Gyland. Runners-up were Rosemary Dun, Sarah Callejo and Debbie White.
The Hall of Fame aims to recognise outstanding achievement in the field of romantic fiction.
An Hall of Fame Award was given to a much loved British author of over 20 novels who has sold 3.5 million books worldwide - Carole Matthews.
A second Hall of Fame Award was given to a publisher who began publishing over 100 years ago and who has contributed so much to shaping and promoting the romantic fiction genre - Harlequin Mills and Boon.
